Massage Therapist Training Colorado
Massage Therapist Requirements in Colorado
In order to become a licensed massage therapist in the State of Colorado, you must:
- Complete a 500-hour massage therapist training course and
- Provide evidence of a passing score on either the MBLEx or NCBTMB exam.
After you successfully pass the MBLEx exam, you should then submit fingerprints to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation in order to conduct a state and national background check. The results of the background check are available for a limited time. Thus, you should then immediately submit an application to become a therapist. You must complete the application online with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and pay a fee of $80 via credit card or electronic check. The application checklist and appropriate links can be found here. http://cdn.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite?c=Document_C&childpagename=DORA-Reg%2FDocument_C%2FCBONAddLinkView&cid=1251648817258&pagename=CBONWrapper
